Sandboy is Tobias Meggle formerly with Beanfield. "Wanderlust" released in 2004 is Sandboy’s first full album; it garnered rave responses from listeners and fellow artists. The album developed in 2 years of collaboration with 5 female and 2 male vocalists who sing and speak in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. All tracks consist of a combination of electronic and acoustic elements, played by 10 different musicians on drums, percussion, double and electric bass, acoustic and electric guitar, violin, bandoneon, melodica, flugelhorn and trumpet.
Less than 2 years later "Echoes" was released and in essence it is Sandboy's remake or reinterpretation of "Wanderlust" in collaborations with fellow artists and producers such as remix maestro Gerd, Norwegian Butti49, 4Lux, Italy's Volcov, and others.
